I’ve bragged about my increasingly green thumb.
That doesn’t go for orchids, I’m afraid.
I’m slowly killing my orchid. My previous orchids have turned prematurely green, as their flowers shrivel up and fall off. And then I get somebody to adopt the green thing that clearly doesn’t enjoy my way of tending to it.
Anyway, I haven’t really killed one until now. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. It might be too warm, too little water or too much water, or a combination. It’s just limp and very unhappy.
The risky business is, however, that I’m in charge og no less than six orchids for the next couple of weeks. I’m dead if they are when the owners are back from their vacation!
I really don’t know what they were thinking. I even told them I’m a serial-orchid-killer – even if that’s not strictly true.
