Pride comes before a fall

I did have a vague suspicion that I was a bit too cocky.
I just couldn’t help myself.
I haven’t had a cold for a year and a half. It’s true my sinuses have been up to something from time to time, but that’s just how it is.
But I caught it.
The cold.
I’m sure my friends are very happy that I don’t know where I caught it. Certainly not from any of them, and thus I can’t blame them.

Well, it’s the autumn cold I want. Keeps the unpleasantness away from Christmas, which is more than stressful enough as it is, without a cold to top it all.

I was supposed to go early to bed when my night was kind of not what I expected. A nice dinner out with my brother was the first bump in the road (but a very pleasant one!), and then I got stuck in front of the telly.

But now I’m going to bed.
At last!
