It’s been a far better weekend than I anticipated.
My legs did not break, and I scared off a couple of not-so-tough forward babes. I’m not that big and tough, so I guess they must have been easily scared.
I started off the first match as midfielder. That’s the worst position ever! I haven’t got the lung capacity for so much running! But it certainly did something to open my chest. I’ve been coughing ever since, and not totally mucus-free either. (Sorry for the less than pleasant image that popped up in your head now)
I did get to play defender the last two matches, and that was so much more pleasant.
Two days on the field, with the sun shining from a clear, blue sky, is apparently too much without sunscreen. My back and shoulders have got a very interesting pattern of red and white. It is a bit uncomfortable sleeping on my shoulders. And I could probably fit in at a circus with the red thing I call my nose.
Speaking of my nose; it’s very uncomfortable blowing my nose at the moment. Not because I caught a corner with my entire face, and got a minor nosebleed, but because of the sun. Sure, my chest has cleared up, but my nose started running, and I’m constantly sneezing. And a bit hoarse and sore in my throat. And I’ve got a terrible itch behind my ribs. Probably a cold rearing it’s head.
Well, I’m content anyway.
And it was no trouble taping my piercings, by the way.
