Thoughts on third violin and stuff


Hating to play third violin.
Really wanting to play viola.
Oh, the irony!

But in the end, it’s mostly about the attitude.

I read in a book about how the altos in the girl choir never get the proper credit.
Like people never praise the foundation when they watch a beautiful building.
“Oh, look at that perfectly brilliant foundation!”
Never ever is that what people think about.
But the fact is, that a foundation is crucial, both in structural engineering and in music.

Even the crappiest job loses most of its crappiness when you see the necessity of it.
