I’m terribly behind on my musical homework.
At the moment, I’m trying to get my head around this song by Laleh for my piano lessons.
It’s not that it’s so terribly complicated, but it’s the fact that I have to sing along to get it right.
And that means I’ll have to learn it first.

On the other hand, I’m trying to learn fiddling on the viola.
Well, not actually, but anyway.

We’re playing a reel called The Wind That Shakes The Barley, and the viola part is close to a drone.
As always.
I also got the sheet music for the fiddle, and was supposed to learn this on the viola.
I’ve come to the conclusion that in order to make it sound anything near a reel, I will have to play on something with an E-string.
That means that I’m fiddling on my tiny viola strung as a violin.

Position playing is not for fiddling. At least not yet.
