Lonely or just alone?

Being alone and being lonely.
Two very different things.

Being alone doesn’t mean being lonely.
Nor does being lonely necessarily mean being alone.

All alone, in a dark room, with a thousand thoughts and everything to do. Very happy indeed.

All alone, entirely by choice.

Sitting in the middle of a happy crowd, feeling very lonely.
Knowing you don’t belong.

Smiling face, raw and screaming insides.

Lonely through and through.

It’s a funny thing.
Not everybody knows the difference.

Do you?
